The Acting Biz:
A Career Guide to the Twin Cities

About the Author

Beth Chaplin has been a professional actor in the Twin Cities for over 25 years. She has been the on-camera and voice talent for hundreds of radio and TV commercials and over a thousand industrial and corporate training programs. Twin Cities theater audiences have seen her on several local stages, including Theatre in the Round (A Few Good Men, Humble Boy, The Dresser), Park Square Theater (The Miracle Worker, Hobson’s Choice, The Constant Wife) and Theatre Unbound (A Piece of My Heart). She has coached dozens and dozens of local actors in the business of acting, ear prompting, acting for the camera and voice-overs. Her most recent teaching includes “Acting for the Camera” at the University of Minnesota.

When Beth isn’t on stage, in a theater audience, on the set or in the recording studio, she can often be found training her rescue German Shepherd — or playing soccer, baseball, golf or hockey somewhere in the Twin Cities!
